Alchemy of the Body

This three-part bilingual workshop series invites participants to explore performance techniques for creative transformation and expanding social cohesion. Instructors will work with small cohorts of artists, performers, and youth in a more meaningful and extended fashion, going a mile deep over five days, in order to cultivate performative trust and community. Each workshop takes place over a week in May, July, and August 2022. The workshops will be led by international performance and dance artists who are trained in cultural techniques that emphasize a variety of physical movements as the basis for developing narratives. All events will be free to participants and conclude in a demonstration that is open to the public.
