Love Sonnets & Voices of Fury: Shakespeare for our Times

A three week workshop for regional artists that culminates in two professional, public performances. Participants will engage Shakespeare’s texts through the visionary lens of resident director Paulo Atto from Bahia, Brazil. Director Atto will introduce performers to Afro-Brazilian movement, ritual and performance traditions in his exploration of reframing Shakespeare’s sonnets and soliloquies.
